Kildonan

Kildonan village is to be found on the south of the island and is set slightly off the main road from Brodick to Kilmory, enjoying simply superb south views. Probably best known is this quiet hamlet for boasting one of the most accessible seal colonies in Britain with up to 500 individuals, nearly all of them Atlantic Grey seals. Furthermore there are nice walks and different beaches with two local hotels both of which serve full meals and snacks and occasionally organise live entertainment. There is also a local shop and post office which not only stocks grocceries but a good selection of wines as well.
